Earlier this week, Year 5 pupils entered a competition run by W H Smiths to win an exclusive interview with Marcus Rashford as well as a free copy of his new book 'You Are A Champion'. The children had to write a few sentences, explaining why they deserved to win a copy. The children explained how they had learnt about Marcus Rashford's efforts towards ensuring all children had access to free school meals. Last term,  they wrote newspaper articles about his efforts. Additionally, they spoke about how hearing from an author - particularly one of their heroes - would really inspire them. I am pleased to announce that their excellent efforts have won us a free copy of the book which is on its way to the school. The Year 5 and 6 children will be watching the exclusive interview during class assemblies over the coming weeks.
