In Year 4, we were lucky to have a visit from our local MP, Mike Freer. He told us all about the work he does as an MP, solving problems for his constituents and helping the government pass new laws in parliament. He even brought along his red ministerial box, which turned out to be remarkably heavy due to its bomb-proof design. The children were full of excellent questions and we all left with a much greater understanding of and appreciation for the work our politicians do. Huge thanks to Mr Freer for taking time out of his busy schedule to visit us!
