Maths Week
What a fantastic maths week we had at Garden Suburb Junior School. Having enjoyed outdoor maths lessons with Mr McGwinn, maths assemblies, a times tables sponsored challenge and a range of exciting maths lessons in class, the children were welcomed into a snowy playground on Friday to celebrate NSPCC Number Day. We asked the children to bake maths-themed cakes to raise money for the charity and we were inundated with a plethora of fantastic and creative homemade treats. The generosity and support of our community shone through as it always does, and we managed to smash our total for last year, raising a whopping £1063 and counting... We are overwhelmed with the support and hard work from all of our families to make the day such a resounding success. Thank you to everyone who contributed for such a good cause.
