Stone Age homes
Year 3 have been learning about the Stone Age. We have learnt about the types of homes people lived in from the different eras. In Paleolithic times, humans lived in caves. During the Mesolithic era, humans lived in tent-like dwellings made from timber and animal hide. This was because these homes were easy to take down and reconstruct when the humans followed herds. Finally, during the Neolithic era, humans lived in more permanent structures made from timber and wattle and daub. Year 3 used a range of mediums to reconstruct the different homes from the Stone Age eras.
