Garden Suburb Junior School

Remembrance Day

Last week, the history of ‘Remembrance Day’ was discussed in assemblies, including the reason why poppies are worn at this time of year. The children also learnt about the story of John Parr, who lived in Lodge Lane, Finchley. He was the first British casualty in World War I.

The whole school will be marking the silence together at 11:00am this morning.
