Every competitor gave their full effort which resulted in Garden Suburb Junior’s best ever results - we received the new award for 'Best Overall School for Field Events.' and came sixth overall in the track events.

The children showed remarkable team-spirit and sportsmanship meaning they can all be very proud of themselves. Each field event was made up of 14 competitors.

* Year 6 Boys’ Shot Put – Matthew (6G) – 2^nd

* Year 5 Boys’ Javelin – Joshua (5G) – 1^st

* Year 6 Boys’ Javelin – Aarian (6G) – 7^th

* Year 5 Girls’ Javelin – Amelia (5J) – 1^st

* Year 6 Girls’ Javelin – Lina (6G) – 1^st

* Years 3 – 6 Tug of War – Joseph (3S), Milania (3S), Ben (4G), Virgina (4S), Angel (5J), Thomas (5G), Isis (6G) and Khai (6G) – 2nd

The track events took place in the afternoon and involved 28 competitors. They were made up of a series of heats and a final.

* Year 3 Boys’ Sprint – Leonardo (3S) – 2^nd

* Year 5 Boys’ 400m – Nimrod (5G) – 3^rd

* Year 6 Boys’ 400m – Danial (6G) – 2^nd

* Year 4 Boys’ Relay – Jasper (4S), Yavor (4J), Sayed Ali (4J) and Dijar (4J) – 3^rd

* Year 4 Girls’ Relay – Valenisa (4J), Dasha (4S), Sarina (4J) and Ciara (4S) – 5^th

* Year 5 Boys’ Relay – Miles (5J), Joshua (5G), Kai (5S) and Leo (5S) – 1^st

* Year 5 Girls’ Relay – Julia (5G), Yahlie (5J), Ruby (5S) and Kate (5S) – 2^nd
